What is the security code from my credit card and where do I find it?

Your security code is found on the back of your credit card near the signature box. It is 3 or 4 digits that immediately follow the printed credit card number.

What is the rate for international origination.

International internet access is from $7.48 per hour to $23.34 per hour depending on country of origination and rate plan chosen.

How does TollFreeISP work?

1) Simply purchase any of our plans.
2) Any time you use the service your starting balance decreases based on the actual time you were connected used.
3) Recharge as needed anytime.

How many users can an account have?

1-100 users supported per account, depending on the account plan selected.

Is there a set-up or monthly charge?

No. There are no monthly charges, set-up fees or usage requirements. The only charges that are incurred are based on the time you actually use.

How soon will the account expire?

Your account has a 12 month sunset period calculated from the last time you added funds to the account. If you add time to your account at any point during the 12 month period, the clock will start over and any unused time will carry forward for an additional 12 months.

Do I have to install the connection software?

You do not have to download the connection software, however, it is highly recommended. Installing the software will allow you to receive updates and notifications about your usage as well as provide the necessary tools for renewal. In addition, it will give you access to our self-updating phonebook, which checks for updated numbers each time it connects.

Can I install this on a PC that doesn’t already have Internet connectivity?

Yes. If you find that during the process you require assistance or something does not seem to work properly you can call our 24/7 helpdesk and they will walk you through the process of getting connected for the first time.

How fast will my connection be?

The speed at which you connect to the Internet is determined by a number of factors:
The speed of your modem

The modem type and speed of the modem you dialed

The quality of the phone lines in your area

The amount of traffic on the Internet

Because of all of these factors, you should not expect your connection speed to be exactly the same speed as listed on your modem. Very often it is actually less.

Do you provide an e-mail account?

No, nearly all of our customers already have at least one email account they use on a primary basis and we have decided that providing an additional account will not benefit many customers and only increase the cost of our service to you. If you do not have an existing account we recommend using a web based mail service such as Hotmail or Yahoo Mail.

I can connect to the service but can't send e-mail. What should I do ?

Using many of the access numbers around the world you can connect to the service as well as send and receive email without changing any of your e-mail client configurations. However, as many of our network partners continue to clamp down to control UBE (unsolicited bulk e-mail) or SPAM they are making it impossible to maintain this seamless transition from location to location. One of the primary methods they have chosen to stem the flow of SPAM is to totally block access to TCP port 25, the port used by SMTP (simple mail transfer protocol) to transmit mail messages. This port can only be "opened" to a limited number of known SMTP servers thus restricting the ability to send messages except through SMTP servers allowed or controlled by the ISPs (Internet service providers) delivering the service.

Since we understand the importance of sending your e-mail messages without constant changes being required, we have put together a permanent solution to help handle this situation. We have implemented an SMTP Relay Server that will act as a friendly deliverer allowing you to send messages, regardless of your location, so long as you have a TollFreeISP account that would allow you to connect to the Internet (meaning it is Active and has a positive balance). This means that not only can you use this server while connected to any of our access numbers around the world, you can also use the server from any other location where you are connected to the Internet (as long as you are not blocked by some other form of security such as a corporate firewall or another ISP).

The information for the SMTP Relay Server is listed below. Please note that you MUST ENABLE SMTP AUTHENTICATION on your mail client software in order to use this server:

Server name: smtp.tollfreeisp.net
SMTP Authentication Settings: (your mail client must support SMTP Authentication and it must be enabled)
Username: your TollFreeISP username only (i.e. type only username NOT username@tollfreeisp.net) Password: your TollFreeISP password
Depending on your mail client you may also have other options for: "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" "Log on using Secure Password Authentication"
DO NOT ENABLE THESE OPTIONS. These options are not required by our relay server and will not work.
